Dr. Jessica Young
Jessica Sherman Young is a North Carolina native with her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science (2005) and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (2011) from North Carolina State University. Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Young spent most of her early career in research both in a neuroscience and respiratory laboratory.
Her particular interests include internal medicine and clinical pathology. Dr. Young’s personal mission statement is to practice high-quality, intelligent and compassionate veterinary medicine in a positive work environment focusing on client communication and education.
She and her husband, a zoo veterinarian, have a young son, four dogs, one crazy cat and one tiger rat snake. She enjoys reading, kayaking, and gardening in her free time.
